Fat Lorenzo`s in Minneapolis

Their pizza is CRAZY tasty. The crust is perfection within itself. The sauce carries a sweetness to it. And the mozzarella is stringy. Get their garlic bread. Must get is the gelato. Well. Basically... Literally EVERYTHING is delicious.

Great prices. Excellent staff. Short wait for food. It's delicious. Pasta is perfecto. Pizza is amazo. Parking lot is small but alternatives are there. Just look. Enjoy.

Driving to and parking here is a little tricky, so plan a little extra time, but you know it's good when that many people are flooding the place. The home made bread sticks are delicious. Seem to be made to order as well. Came out insanely hot and perfectly baked. Gave the classic spaghetti and meatballs a whirl. Those meatballs are huge! Couldn't finish it all in one go, fed me for lunch the next day too. So worth the money. And they were having a wine special at the time, so I tried out their Syrah. It was splendid. Will definitely be back. At least to try that gelato. Got a sample at the end of the meal and not having room to eat anymore has haunted me since.

After reading the mostly positive reviews I decided to give them a try. The crust was doughy and bland. The mushrooms were obviously from a can. The onions were stale. There wasn't anything about this pizza that I liked. if you looking for a quality pizza try broder's or Pizza Luce. fresh quality ingredients really make all the difference. And that is not what you will find here.

Delicious sauce and I love the crust! The crust is thicker around the edge to help hold (or fold) the slices. It's a favorite spot for us.

We were in MSP travelling and picked this place based on good reviews and close proximity to the airport. With a name like Fat Lorenzo's our expectations were high. The place looks cool from the outside. The pizza we ordered looked great, but the taste didn't match. We thought it lacked flavor. The pizza cost was on the high side and the service was average at best. One positive was a decent selection of local beers. I will look for another place to eat next time we're in the area. Based on our one experience I could not recommend this place.

This place really needs to modernize and learn to manage delivery orders in a more streamlined manner. You call and wait on hold for over 5 minutes, give up and call back. Orders and addresses repeated several times and slow delivery. The pizza is good, but it's not worth the hassle most of the time.

Wow, what a treat! We had the combo pizza, artichoke dip, and cheesecake. Everything was spot on. Other reviewers adequately talked up the crust, but I want to address the sauce. The tomatoes are rich in flavor, it has the exact right amount of garlic, and is perfect in all respects. Everything was perfect. Definitely coming back here.

This place is somewhere you have to go at least a few times. It's just an icon of South Minneapolis. It's a cozy little place and people LOVE it.... but that's the main problem. There's not a lot of parking and there is always a wait during dinner hours. And I just don't see why! Yes, it's good food. But it's not THAT good. I must be the odd one out because everyone else sure seems willing to wait!

My slices of pizza tasted like they were from a bowling alley, or arcade and was basically digiorno. I certainly was dissapointed in this experience. The garlic bread stick was nice and fluffy but also lacked much flavor. There is way better pizza in Minneapolis.

Fat Lorenzo's was incredible. The place is small but the ambiance and cleanliness was above reproach. The food was quite fast. The flavors were so good. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I will definitely sharing this with everyone and I will be back.

Oven pizza in Chicago, and this beat it hands down. The sauce is amazing and the pizza and garlic bread was to die for. Highly recommend this!!

The best pizza we have tried in the Twin Cities. During COVID, on a Saturday afternoon they only took 20 minutes to have our order ready to take out. Try their spinach feta stromboli, it is amazing! Also, the individual slices are "NY style". So, pretty big.

We stop to try the OMG hoagie wow it was great, and we order 1 salad and to split, WOW we have more a lot good food to eat. I love they're menu, location,and service

Fat Lorenzo's feels a little bit like a New York City pizza joint. The pizza is completely different - you won't be folding these slices - but it has the intimate look and feel of a family operation that's been making pizzas for generations. Beers are half-price on Mondays, and they have an impressive list.

The pizza is ok. Undercooked, bland flavor. Overall a ok pizza if your craving pizza. A lot of toppings and the sausage and pepperoni taste fine.

Great food! Great atmosphere. The gelato is worth the stop by itself. We live 6 hours away and eat at Fat's every time we come to the cities. Keep up the good work!

The pizza dough is thicker than some others which stays softer and chewier. The seating area is not very large. They don't really have the space to seat a group larger than 8 and you might have to wait some time to get seated. Prices are reasonable and portions generous. The peppercorn ranch dressing is wonderful!

You can’t get much better than Fat Lorenzos. This Italian girl from Jersey gives it a two thumbs up! Try the Hot Fats, you’ll feel like you died and went to Italy!

Their gelato is amazing... Seriously, get some... Like, right now. Oh yeah their pizza and pasta was good too. I had the Chicken Alfredo and I was quite happy with what I got.

This is still my favorite place to get a good standard pizza. There isn't anything crazy in terms of ingredient, but they pile a ton on. The hoagies are also super delicious and massive. If you're looking for a great pizza place in South Minneapolis this is it.

Always wonderful. Great service, We usually do carry out. Easy to find. Street parking if lot is full. I am from out of town we have family near by. They remembered me!

Enjoyed this place! Very friendly staff. My first time in town and they've got great pizza with crust you can enjoy...it's soft and chewy. The medium size fed two people and we took half to-go. I'd definitely return.

Place looks like a NY joint. Pizza looks like a NY slice. But, in reality. It tastes nothing like NY pizza. It’s basically all crust with a very floury bite. It was okay. But I would not come here expecting a NY slice. This is not it.

This is the beat pizza I have ever eaten in my life and the staff is so friendly and helpful and make sure you have everything you need from napkins to plates and seasonings. You have to try the gelato also. Thanks guys. Keep it up.

I am disappointed! I only tried this place because it was on Diner, Drive-In, & Dives. I had the quesadilla with a "special sauce" I dont know If it was the sauce or the mushrooms that gave it an old taste. Maybe instead of using canned mushrooms the company should use fresh thin cut mushrooms. My husband had the shrimp alfredo which he said also had a funny taste. Like the shrimp were freezer burnt or just old. We are from coastal Alabama. Where the cuisine is byfar the best in the country and the seafood is extraordinary. That goes without saying that our taste pallets are very culturally diverse. One good thing about the restaurant is that we didn't have to ask for napkins. Nowadays you have to ask for napkins not this time. Oh and the price point is doable.

Best pizza in the state! And I am picky, see my reviews. The crust is delicious and is cooked properly. Parking and crowds can be tricky but well worth it.
